The Dodger’s Monument is a landmark in the Los Angeles area that is almost always surrounded by people (and is generally worn by the players). I can’t say that I always see it, but I do see it. In fact, when I was growing up, when the Dodgers were my favorite team, I would sometimes see it, and I would stare at it for hours. It is a monument to the game of baseball, and to my love for it.

That’s because the plaque itself is based on a photo of Dodger outfielder Dave Bancroft, who died in 1988 at the age of 76. In the game, a player’s bat is moved to a different field by the team’s equipment manager in order to prevent the player from stepping on the bat and getting a concussion. And for a certain kind of player, this can be a little risky because you can step on the bat while the fans are watching and cause a huge dent.
For those of you who are fans of the sport, you know that the idea of a plaque affixed to your bat is pretty ridiculous. It is really annoying and, well, really tacky. But as for Dodger fans, it’s a good way to say goodbye to your favorite player while you still can.
With the team being in disarray (in a way), the Dodgers have been in search of a new ballplayer and, well, you know how that goes. When you are on a team like the Dodgers or the Yankees, you’re always chasing something. And sometimes you’re chasing the wrong thing. When you are in a time loop, you are always chasing the wrong thing.
This is the scenario of the Dodger fans, though, since the Dodgers are always chasing the wrong thing. They are always looking for a new pitcher, and when they do find a new pitcher, they want to give him the benefit of the doubt. But as you can see from the image at the top of this post, the one thing the Dodgers don’t have is a team player who is willing to make the sacrifice.
Thats right. It has been said before that a Dodger fan is no fan at all, and the reason is that they are a huge fan of baseball, and baseball is a sport that has no winner. They are a fan of the sport they hate, and it is this hate that keeps them on their Dodger team. For the Dodger fans, baseball is not their team, and even if they were, it does not make them a fan.
