I think it is because the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
Just because I have a few habits, routines, and reactions, doesn’t mean that I am immune to the danger of our autopilot. We are all constantly being told what to do and when to do it. So in a way I would say that if I’m not paying attention to my body and I have a few habits, routines, and reactions that I can no longer control, I could be at risk. This is why getting a good night’s sleep is so important.
Getting a good nights sleep is important isn’t just because it helps in the long run but because by not getting one, you don’t even know you were sleeping. You may not even be aware of what your slumber-inducing habits are. I would say that the more you are aware of what you do while you sleep, the better you are at getting a good night sleep.
So the advice to get a good nights sleep is basically to be aware that your sleeping habits affect the way you will be able to get a good nights sleep.
Well you can see why a lack of sleep (and for that matter, a lack of proper nutrition) often leads to a myriad of health problems. But getting a good nights sleep, especially if its a short and regular nap, helps to reduce the chances of some serious health problems. Sleep is very important to our bodies and is closely related to how well our bodies work. For example, the lack of sleep that leads to obesity is related to our insulin levels.

In the trailer, april is shown to have various health problems, including a very low energy level, and a lack of motivation. However, it’s not clear if she is a sleepwalker or a sleep thief.
In the first game, april is shown to be a sleep thief, stealing sleep from the sleeping enemies she’s trapped. In Deathloop she’s shown not to be a sleep thief, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a sleepwalker. It just means that the trailer isn’t showing her as a sleep thief, but as a sleeper who has gone missing for a while and who is now roaming free. It’s like the trailer just has a different name for her.
And while one could argue that april is a sleep thief, it’s not like she has a lot of reason to steal sleep from the sleeping enemies shes trapped. The fact that shes shown to be a sleep thief, while it makes more sense, is more a matter of style. For example, the Nightcrawler, the last enemy she steals sleep from, is not shown to have a lot of motivation to do it. He steals sleep from people just because he cant sleep.
The nightcrawler is a stealthy, fast-running, stealthy enemy, but he is also a sleeper. He doesn’t sleep and he doesn’t sleep well. So while he steals sleep, he also steals it from the enemy he’s been stealing sleep from.
